Submit a photo of your accomplishments or favorite view of your tree farm for the Washington State Tree Farm-Washington State Society of American Foresters 2021 Calendar.  The sale of these calendars will enable these organizations to continue supporting sustainable forestry in our state.

Dr. Cushing Begins Term as SAF President

On January 1, 2020, Tamara Cushing, PhD, began her one-year term as president of the Society of American Foresters (SAF). Founded in 1900 by Gifford Pinchot and headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, SAF is a national organization that represents and serves 11,000 forestry professionals in the United States. Dr. Cushing will continue serving on SAF’s Board of Directors for the next two years, including as immediate past president in 2021.

Now Accepting Applications for WSSAF Foresters Foundation Scholarship





The Washington State Society of American Foresters (WSSAF) is accepting scholarship applications from students pursuing an education in Forestry.  The scholarship is available to individuals who will be attending, full time during the 2020–21 school year, a Forestry Program at one of the following schools:
