Internship – Forest Products Research Forester – Tumwater, WA
Non-Exempt / Part-Time

The Forest Products Research Intern performs research and analysis of market opportunities for various forest products. The term Special Forest Products refers to a broad range of resources in the forest. Also known as nontimber forest product, the terms generally describer any product in the forest, other than the trees used for the production of lumber.

Responsibilities include:

Special Forest Products Marketing Assessment:

  • Assist with business plan development for new and existing Special Forest Products opportunities for the company
  • Qualitative and Quantitative research including collection of statistical data and potential consumer behaviors and opinions
  • Prepare written documentation summarizing research and analysis

Successful candidates will have:

  • Completed two years of study in economics, marketing, or business principles.
  • Familiarity with forest products industry is a plus
  • Able to communicate with internal and external parties in a manner that is aligned with the company’s mission and values.
